What is talking Therapy?
Talking therapy is for everyone. Talking therapy enables you to discuss yourself or your relationship in a non-judgemental, understanding environment. Therapy for me is working towards an ease of communication along with fun, connection and challenge.
I work with people over 18. I work with couples, groups and individuals. I am LGBTQ positive.
What you want from therapy is up to you. If you want to analyse a situation, relationship, decision or event then I can enable you to do so. If you need to talk to someone about something you have never said or don't know how to process I will keep your confidence and support you. Equally if you want to change something about yourself I can explore the effects and possible outcomes with you impartially. I can also help you achieve goals by supporting you and hearing your difficulties.
Therapy is a great way to accept and understand yourself by increasing your self-awareness.
WHO AM I?
I am a 36 year old woman with nearly 9 years counselling experience, 4 of which are post graduate. I am committed to personal and professional development and am continuously striving to improve. I invest in myself and encourage others to do so. I believe that support is one of the most important aspects of wellbeing and try to live in a way that supports myself and others. I believe wellbeing is an act of courage.
My belief is that it is better to find out about someone when talking person to person so please contact me to arrange a conversation.
I can help you talk through any issues around sexuality, gender and sexual health either with a partner, partners or as an individual. The issues you bring to the room are discussed sensitively with worked through with encouragement, knowledge and understanding. Any sexually specific tasks will be set as homework and never performed during a session.
If you want to talk further about psychosexual therapy and sexual wellbeing please contact me. I would be happy to answer any questions.
